Nov. 4: Stews & Brews
The City of Highland Park’s new alfresco entertainment space The Lot (523 Central; enter at St. Johns & Park) is hosting the perfect event for fans of cold-weather comfort foods and hot beverages to warm the soul. Wrapping up the 2022 season, the City invites the public to attend Stews & Brews at The Lot on November 4 from 5-9PM.
Stews & Brews is not your ordinary chili fest or craft beer fest. This free, all-ages event will offer attendees an array of cold weather comfort foods. Think chili, pozole, lamb stew, beef stroganoff, Hungarian goulash, potpies, soups and brews including creative coffees and cocoas, craft beers, spiced wine, hot toddies, mulled ciders and more!
Attendees can enjoy their stews and brews while listening to live blues music and cozying up around warm fire pits and heaters. Stews & Brews’ on-site restaurants include: Astra Coffee Roasters, BellaRu Catering, Max’s Deli, Michael’s Grill & Salad Bar, Pixca, Tamales, and Ravinia Brewing Company, to name a few.
Everyone is invited to cast a vote for their favorite stew and brew as part of the People’s Choice Competition. Ballots will be available at the information booth. Voting closes at 8:15 and winners will be announced at 8:30.
Music Lineup:
5-6:45 Win Noll and The Rockin’ Souls will entertain with their eclectic mix and interpretation of blues, rock, soul & country blues.
7:15-9 The Hurricane Project, featuring Chicago Blues-scene legend, Al “Hurricane” Spears, entertains audiences with funky blues, jazz and R&B.
