Downtown Highland Park serves as the venue for many of the Cityβs events: from June through November, experience the Taste of Highland Park and other events at The Lot, Port Clinton Concerts, the Port Clinton Art Festival, the Bitter Jester Music Festival, and the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce Sidewalk Sale. The Central Business District is also steps away from Highland Park Hospital, City Hall, the Highland Park Library, the Highland Park Art Center and the North Shore Yacht Club. Downtown Highland Park is also fortunate to serve as the Cityβs growing multifamily residential area.
Downtown Highland Park defines the City, providing a shared sense of community for all Highland Park residents. We are less than one mile from the Park Avenue Beach on Lake Michigan and designated as a Tree City USA destination. Downtown Highland Park is easily accessible via the Metra North line.
