Ravinia District Cookie & Cocoa Crawl 2023

The Ravinia District of Highland Park will host its annual Cookie & Cocoa Crawl on Saturday, December 2, from 11:30 AM – 1 PM. Children accompanied by adults may pick up their cookie collection bag and cookie redemption tickets in Jens Jensen Park, courtesy of Gilbert Orthodontics, to gather cookies while they visit local businesses and explore the festive holiday decorations installed throughout the District. Everyone is invited to visit with Santa, grab a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy Holiday tunes by HPHS DJ Dylan in Jens Jensen Park!

Kids can look forward to visiting 20 Ravinia District businesses to collect individually wrapped homemade cookies from some of Highland Park’s favorite bakeries, including The Chunky Scone, Max’s Deli, Mil Colibris Bakery & Café, Once Upon a Bagel, Sugarcoated and Sunset Foods (while supplies last).

“The Cookie and Cocoa Crawl is such a wonderful way for our business owners to come together, welcome community, and spread holiday joy,” says the City’s Business Development Manager, Carolyn Hersch, “We are so proud of how the Ravinia Business District has come alive in every way, and events like this energize our community to come together to celebrate and support our local businesses.”

Participating businesses include Abigail’s, Astra Coffee Roasters, BWB Shakes, The Chunky Scone, Dana Reed Designs, Field Violin Workshop, Jeff Cohen Photography, Mil Colibris Bakery & Café, Mosewood Custom Closets, PT Squared, Ravinia Barber Shop, Ravinia Brewing Company, Ravinia Books, Antiques, Etc., Taylor Reese, Twigs & Cotton, Uncommon Fitness, Vintage Rescue, Yana’s Barbershop and Zolboo Skin Care

Thank you to the Cookie & Cocoa Crawl sponsors that will be on-site, including Bubbles Academy, Foss Swim School, Gilbert Orthodontics, Carolyn Cerf @Properties and Wayfarer Theaters.

The Ravinia District is an electric mix of small-scale businesses, popular restaurants, food specialty shops, and high-end personal and professional services. All located within a few walkable blocks, this creative, quaint, friendly, and historic neighborhood offers nearly anything a person might want. The Ravinia District is a lovely location to dine before or after visiting the Ravinia Festival or the Chicago Botanic Garden. The District is east of Green Bay Road on Roger Williams Avenue in Highland Park.

The Ravinia District's historic roots as a getaway from Chicago for artists and other creative people led to its establishment as an artists' colony, geographically separate as it is from Downtown Highland Park and other more commercial business areas.
