Join Madame ZuZu’s on November 30 for Local Motive’s Funksgiving 2024, an evening of funk, soul, and rock ‘n roll. Local Motive is celebrating two years since the release of their album, Slice of Life, and will be sharing new material from their forthcoming record for the first time with their last show of 2024. Come shake your tail feather & dance off some of that Thanksgiving feast with glowing brass, searing guitars, & soulful singing. Bar, tea, coffee , signature pastries and shopping will be available throughout the event.

Local Motive is a rock band evoking "Sam Cooke mixed with Jimi Hendrix." Since 2012, bandleader Mike Vinopal and company have been shaking butts and soothing souls under the banner of Local Motive. Their high-energy music is classic and familiar, yet fiercely original.

The Local Motive sound is bluesy funk, soulful singing, and rock ‘n’ roll for all. Local Motive has released 2 full length albums and a 4-song EP (their debut), with their most recent album “Slice of Life.” Keeping with tradition, the new album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Noam Wallenberg (A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller, Anderson .Paak) at Rax Trax Recording (Buddy Guy, Brian Wilson, George Clinton) and co-produced with the band.

The band's live performance is an unmatched wall of soulful sounds featuring glowing brass arrangements. The singers belt from their toes, the riffs are searing, and the melodies are unforgettable. And Vinopal steers the whole thing masterfully. It's like Blues Brothers meets Alabama Shakes.
