Ruby of Siam has been offering a glimpse into traditional Thai cuisine and culture right here in Downtown Highland Park since 2015.

Patrons who step through the doors at 1849 Second Street are immediately greeted by a Thai spirit house perched atop a ledge; a sign of respect for the spirit that protects a dwelling space. Ruby of Siam itself is filled with comfortable seating, acoustic tiling perfect for conversation, beautiful Thai décor, warm hospitality, and an unhurried atmosphere.

The extensive menu is replete with authentic Thai dishes handed down through the family of owner Iris Dhalawong. Each dish is made to order to a person’s tastes or needs, including modifying ingredients to make menu items vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or free of other allergens.

While dining in-house at Ruby of Siam is truly an experience that can’t be topped, the restaurant also offers carry out and delivery. Additionally, Ruby of Siam offers catering and event hosting.

As well as authentic Thai cuisine, Ruby of Siam also hosts frequent live performances featuring classical Thai dance, music, and costume for a truly immersive cultural experience.
