Indus Named Best Suburban Restaurant!

Back on January 29, we announced that Downtown Highland Park’s very own Indus Progressive Indian (617 Central Ave.) was a finalist in the Chicago Tribune’s 2024 Readers' Choice Food Awards. Thousands of readers and restaurant-goers across the Chicagoland area cast their votes for their top restaurant picks through February 7.

We are proud to announce that Indus has won the coveted title of Best Suburban Restaurant!

Indus opened on Central Avenue in June of 2024 and quickly made a splash on the Downtown Highland Park scene. Indus has previously been recognized by Eater Chicago as one of Chicago’s Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings and as one of Chicago’s Best Indian Restaurants.
