November 3: Stews & Brews (and Blues!)

Although delayed two weekends due to weather, the City of Highland Park is hosting the perfect event to warm the soul as Stews & Brews returns to The Lot on November 3, 5 – 9 PM at The Lot (525 Central / enter at St. Johns & Park) in Downtown Highland Park.  Savor cold-weather comfort food and hot beverages to warm the soul and groove to Chicago-style blues.

Stews & Brews is not your ordinary chili fest or craft beer fest. This free, all-ages event will offer attendees an array of cold weather comfort foods. Think chili, pozole, lamb stew, beef stroganoff, Hungarian goulash, potpies, soups and brews including creative coffees and cocoas, craft beers, spiced wine, hot toddies, mulled ciders and more!

Attendees can enjoy their stews and brews while listening to live blues music and cozying up around warm fire pits and heaters.  Stews & Brews’ on-site restaurants include: BWB Shakes, Cafe Dacha, Kabul Kabob, Max’s Deli, Michael’s Grill & Salad Bar, Pixca, Ravinia Brewing Company  and Tamales.

Everyone is invited to cast a vote for their favorite stew and brew as part of the People’s Choice Competition. Ballots will be available at the information booth. Voting closes at 8:00 on Saturday and winners will be announced at 8:30.

Music Lineup:

5-6:45 PM: Win Noll and The Rockin’ Souls will entertain with their eclectic mix and interpretation of blues, rock, soul & country blues.

7-9 PM: The Ivy Ford Band will deliver a powerful blues performance.

More information will be available at enjoyhighlandpark.com/the-lot or on social media @enjoyhighlandpark on Facebook and Instagram.
