Second Street is Open!

Second Street is open for business! Discover the newly opened and transformed streetscape and visit local businesses now, then celebrate with a special event on November 2.

The City of Highland Park will hold a special ribbon cutting ceremony and accompanying festivities celebrating the grand reopening of Second Street on Saturday, November 2, from 3 PM - 5 PM (ribbon cutting at 3:30 PM). Groove to tunes spun by a live DJ, take a photo with friends or family inside a festive giant snow globe, and enjoy a variety of entertainment including jugglers, face painting at Michael's Grill & Salad Bar, and a balloon artist at Backyard Grill.

Businesses along Second Street have exclusive promotions and giveaways planned for the celebration including free B12 injections at IVMe Highland Park, a raffle and reward wheel at Real Skin Aesthetics, a free flower bar and permanent bracelets at Style Shack, a Dia de los Muertos activity at ROSS's, free popcorn at Wayfarer Theaters, free rewards membership at Gearhead Outfitters, a surprise slice of the day at New York Slices, free s'mores and 25% off of holiday decor at Summer Classics Home, and more!
