Scarecrow Fest & Walk

Commemorate fall with scarecrows, pumpkins, great food, live music, and family fun! The festivities will take place from 12 PM - 5 PM on Saturday, October 19 at The Lot (525 Central Ave.).

Plus, take a self-led, leisurely walk through Downtown Highland Park’s Scarecrow Trail to see over two dozen festive scarecrows, each uniquely decorated by local businesses, and cast your vote for “Best in Show.”

12 PM - 1 PM:
Dance, sing, wiggle, and laugh with Highland Park favorites Ben Tatar & The Tatar Tots

DJ Snicholfritz will spin all your favorite kid-friendly tunes

1:30 PM - 3 PM:
Five-time Grammy nominee Justin Roberts will play music for “kids and their grownups”

Photo Opportunities

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity with Mermaid Elle®, world-renowned professional mermaid entertainer and YouTuber! Children and families will have the opportunity to meet a real mermaid and try on a mermaid tail and other props. Join us for mermaid fun, scarecrow appearances and unforgettable memories! Professional photography available.

Kids and adults alike can interact with a giant, walking, talking scarecrow! Take a picture with the giant scarecrow to show all your friends!

Pumpkin Painting

Kids can take part in a fun, festive, and FREE craft at The Lot (525 Central Ave.). Pick out a faux mini pumpkin and create a unique design using paint markers. Make it spooky, funny, pretty, or festive… best of all, this pumpkin will last all year long!

Stroll Downtown Highland Park to see over two dozen festive scarecrows, all uniquely decorated by local businesses. Use the digital ballot to pick your favorite before 4:30 PM. The winner will be announced back at The Lot (525 Central) at 5 PM!
